Vaccinations & preventative medications in South Africa :  Before ready on your South Africa vacations tour, you must make yourself familiar with different diseases that are common in South Africa climatic conditions.It is strongly recommended you seek the advice of a travel doctor, who specialises in medicines for the travellers. The following vaccines and medications are recommended for travel to South Africa

-> Hepatitis A vaccine

-> Hepatitis B vaccine

-> Rabies vaccine, if you plan to spend a lot of time outdoors, especially in rural areas

-> Measles vaccine  – outbreaks are common – (single vaccine available to babies from 9-months old)

-> Typhoid vaccine, especially if travelling to areas outside major citie

Malaria prevention medicine, if you are travelling to a malaria risk area: Mpumalanga Province , North-eastern KwaZulu-Natal as far south as the Tugela River, Limpopo (Northern) Province, Kruger National Park etc
